Our Story

Erin & Cindy

Erin & Cindy

It all started when…

Cindy & Erin met at our neighborhood playgroup when our first babies, Davis & Scout were less than a year old. Quickly we learned that the babies were born only two days apart and played well together. Equally important (whether we knew it at the time or not), we both needed friendship with another relatable mom at that point in our journey and thus we set in motion what we refer over a decade later as our “chosen family.” Our husbands, Shane & Kevin have become friends, we’ve added more kids to the mix, survived Cindy moving to a different town, taken vacations together and are secretly hoping that Davis & Scout will be best friends forever. In that process we found a mutual interest in celebrations and crafting. What started as creative outlet, throwing fun birthday parties for our kids, has now become a shared passion for creatively celebrating life, friendship, and community.

More about Cindy…

Davis’ Mom

In my home, preparing for a party is a family affair from start to finish. Our two boys, Davis and Jensen love to help brainstorm ideas with my husband Shane and I. We then spend lots of family time bonding and creating together. I feel parties, neighborhood get togethers and crafternoons are simply the best way to create a strong community. The amazing side effects are the relationships made and memorable experiences created.

I live in Maple Valley, Washington and I love my community, especially my neighbors who are always willing participants of my get togethers. When I’m not crafting, or dreaming up a party, I’m trying to figure out ways to trick my husband and kids into another family snuggle movie fest on the couch. I’m also quite passionate about my full time job as a Customer Experience Expert at an amazing company that enables my creativity and keeps me crafting.

More about

Erin…

Scout’s Mom

I am currently a stay at home mom to three kiddos (Clara, who is nicknamed “Scout”, Janie & Callen) from Issaquah, Washington. I love celebrating life and am drawn to party planning, paper crafting, and decorating as a creative outlet. In my party planning, I strive to be economical and resourceful, aiming to repurpose as much as I can while trying to make each celebration express its own uniqueness.

As a paper crafter, I love my Silhouette Cameo electronic cutter and use if for practically every event in some capacity. I received it as a Mother’s Day surprise seven or eight years ago from my husband, who at the time had no idea how much time I would end up spending with it, and never looked back!

Prior to being home with kids, I helped kids with learning and behavior challenges in a neuropsychology practice. I have served for over 10 years on a fundraising guild for Seattle Children’s Hospital benefitting Uncompensated Care Fund and am active in my children’s school PTSA. Besides my family and crafting, I am a nut for country music, Himalayan rabbits (we raise them), group fitness classes, Alfred Hitchcock films and champagne.

Cindy and I met at a toddler play group over a decade ago. Our babies, Davis & Scout, were fast friends and so were we. We are different in ways that complement and help empower one another. We have been dreaming up parties together for quite a while and are excited to share them with you!
